In Araneta City, Cubao, Quezon City, the iconic Belen or nativity scene will be illuminated on November 17 at 5 p.m. Located at Gen. MacArthur Ave., between Farmers Market and Farmers Garden, this traditional lighting ceremony has been a holiday season tradition since 1991. The event will see the participation of Araneta City executives and officials from Quezon City government. Notably, this follows the Christmas tree lighting that took place earlier at Gateway Mall 2.

On November 17 at 6:30 p.m., the third edition of Jeepney Jazz will take center stage at Ayala Museum in Makati. This installment will showcase groovy singing and captivating gong performances. Vocalist Abby Clutario and guitarist-composer Johnny Alegre will lead HUMANFOLK, known for pioneering contemporary Philippine and world music scenes. The Intramuros Administration is bringing back a beloved program from the 1990s called Intramuros Evenings. The revival will kick off on November 18 at 6 p.m. with the re-staging of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Out-Of-The-Box (OTB) Series concert “Isang Gabi ng Sarsuwela.” Baluarte de San Diego in Intramuros, Manila will be the venue for this performance featuring classical and musical theater performers such as Nenen Espina, Franco Laurel, Ayen Munji Laurel, Reuben Laurente, Lorenz Martinez, Shiela Valderrama Martinez, Jonathan Tadioan, and Karylle Tatlonghari. While entrance to the concert is free, admission to Baluarte de San Diego is priced at P75 or discounted to P50 for students, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

The International Bazaar 2023 will showcase an incredible pavilion highlighting India’s rich culture and heritage. Organized by the Embassy of India and the Bharati Indian Expat Women’s Association, this “Incredible India” pavilion will feature six merchandise booths showcasing Indian products and three food booths. Visitors can feast their eyes on mesmerizing mehendi art, Indian mirror work, handloom textiles and clothing, fine jewelry, accessories, folk art, spices, millets (in celebration of the International Year of Millets 2023), as well as a range of Ayurvedic products. The event takes place on November 19 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center Forum 2 and 3 in Pasay City. The International Bazaar is organized by the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc., in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic and Consular Corps of the Philippines, and Spouses of the Heads of Mission.
