Sateliot has announced a strategic alliance with Leaf Space to enhance the connectivity of its 5G-IoT satellite constellation. Through this collaboration, Sateliot aims to strengthen its commercial service without geographical or capacity limitations. The upcoming launch of four new 6U satellites by Sateliot will leverage Leaf Space’s ground segment network (GSaaS) to improve connectivity services.

Jaume Sanpera, CEO of Sateliot, highlighted that the partnership ensures seamless global IoT connectivity, showcasing the industry’s technological advancements. Leveraging Leaf Space’s GSaaS solution will enable Sateliot’s low Earth orbit satellite constellation to scale efficiently, offering redundancy and support for continuous operations.

Leaf Space’s distributed network of 23 ground stations worldwide provides coverage and reliability to over 100 satellites. Sateliot will utilize Leaf Space’s network as a 5G point of presence to revolutionize IoT connectivity. The CEO of Leaf Space, Jonata Puglia, expressed confidence in supporting Sateliot’s upcoming Transporter-11 satellite launch and IoT services.

The satellite launch is scheduled for July aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Once in orbit, the new 6U satellites will establish contact using Leaf Space’s in-orbit verification service during early orbit phases, ensuring reliable communication from deployment onwards with the company’s diverse geographic network.
