SailPoint Technologies, a leading provider of enterprise identity security solutions, has enhanced its cloud-based offering with new intelligence features. These features leverage AI technologies to accelerate and standardize the measurement of access risk across organizations. In addition, they enable the automation of complex identity security processes, reducing costs and risks while improving productivity.

Chern-Yue Boey, senior vice president for Asia-Pacific at SailPoint, highlighted the challenges businesses face in today’s digital environments. With the explosion of digital identities and a shortage of cybersecurity talent, coupled with stringent compliance regulations and increasing cyber insurance costs, organizations often struggle to know where to start on their identity security journey.

SailPoint aims to equip businesses with the capabilities needed to address these challenges effectively. The company enables organizations to build user-friendly and operationally effective identity security playbooks.

The advanced intelligence, automation, and integration capabilities within SailPoint Identity Security Cloud allow for effective governance over access to new applications and resources as they are added to user environments.

The recent enhancements include additional intelligence capabilities powered by AI. These provide contextual insights into access anomalies and persona-based reporting. By generating an Outlier Score with deep contextual insights, SailPoint standardizes the measurement of access anomalies while providing deeper insights into contributing factors.

Moreover, comprehensive persona-based dashboards and reporting offer simple data visualization for internal auditors and identity program sponsors to understand and analyze information easily.

SailPoint also released new SaaS Workflows templates that help automate identity tasks across systems. Organizations can now improve efficiency and security by identifying and de-provisioning access for unused SaaS applications based on activity data or automatically generating an access review using the Outlier score.

According to SailPoint’s report ‘The Horizons of Identity,’ the number of identities in use will continue growing in the next 3-5 years. To address this growth at scale, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud provides robust automation capabilities that allow administrators to automate complex and repetitive identity security processes. This includes identifying and deprovisioning underutilized SaaS accounts, notifying or disabling accounts when outliers are detected, and certifying access for uncorrelated accounts. These capabilities not only strengthen security controls but also help organizations meet regulatory compliance through automated certification of orphaned accounts.

Being able to demonstrate security compliance is particularly important as the cost of obtaining or renewing cyber insurance has risen significantly in recent years. Simplifying compliance by showcasing basic security capabilities can help lower premiums and create a more user-friendly environment, freeing administrators for more engaging tasks.

SailPoint Identity Security seamlessly integrates with existing security tools, allowing customers to quickly implement effective security controls.

In summary, SailPoint Technologies is committed to leveraging AI technologies to enhance enterprise security controls. The new intelligence features added to its cloud-based offering not only enable standardized measurement of access risk but also drive automation, reduce costs, and improve productivity. With robust automation capabilities and out-of-the-box integration, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud provides businesses with the necessary tools to navigate the complexities of identity security effectively.
