Intel Launches Articul8 Ai: A Secure And Scalable Solution For Enterprise Generative Ai

Intel has introduced Articul8 AI, an independent entity aimed at addressing the generative artificial intelligence (AI) needs of enterprises. The modern large language models (LLMs) used in generative AI require both powerful hardware and a scalable, secure software stack. With their competitive stack of AI hardware, including CPUs, GPUs, and special-purpose ASICs, Intel is well-equipped to cater to the requirements of enterprise-grade generative AI.

Articul8 AI offers a vertically integrated and secure generative AI software solution designed specifically for enterprise clients. It provides ready-to-use APIs and a collection of LLMs and probabilistic models tailored for various industries such as finance, semiconductor, aerospace, life sciences, and telecoms. This platform ensures the security of customer data by keeping all aspects of data training and inference processes within the boundaries of the enterprise’s own security system. Moreover, it allows clients to choose between cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid deployment options for enhanced flexibility.

The establishment of Articul8 was made possible using intellectual property (IP) and technology originated from Intel’s hardware company. Although the platform claims to be cloud and hardware-agnostic, it will likely be optimized for Intel’s enterprise-grade hardware such as Xeon Scalable CPUs and Gaudi accelerators. Arun Subramaniyan, formerly the vice president and general manager of Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, will lead Articul8.

To build this new entity focused on generative AI solutions, Intel collaborated with DigitalBridge Group, a global investment firm. By reducing its own capital requirements through this partnership and approaching venture investment companies like Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group as well, Intel is positioning Articul8 for growth.

Marc Ganzi, CEO of DigitalBridge Group remarked on Articul8’s scalable GenAI software platform, stating that it enables enterprises to derive value from their proprietary data. GenAI is seen as a pivotal force driving digital infrastructure, and the collaboration between Intel and DigitalBridge to support Articul8’s growth signifies the importance of this technology.

In summary, Intel’s launch of Articul8 AI showcases their commitment to providing enterprise-grade generative AI solutions. With its secure and scalable software stack, along with its integration of powerful hardware, Articul8 aims to address the growing demands for generative AI in various industries. This move highlights Intel’s dedication to advancing the field of artificial intelligence and supporting its customers’ business outcomes.
